The Mustang. Has Endurance.

„The Mexican mustang pony will very likely be introduced into the United States Army. The mustang is a small, tricky animal, mostly used by cowboys in runuing down stock. Recently the War Department made a series of tests and the official reports show that it is stronger, faster, cheaper, and can endure more than the large cavalry stock of the East. One of the tests included a horseback ride from Santa Fe, New Mexico, to San Antonio, Texas. The animal averaged forty miles per day, and once went without water or food for forty-eight hours.
