Increasing Wages.
The *tow York Times publishes the following list of increase of wages noted by it since May 21, 1895: Cambria iron company, Johnstown, Pennsylvania, voluntary increase of 10 per oent. on June 1, affecting 3.000 men and increasing the payroll by $20,000 per month. Consolidated s'.eel and wire company of Chicagc, operating mills at Lockport and Joliet, Illinois, St. Louis, Missouri, and Allentown and Pittsburg, Pennsylvavoluntary increase of 10 percent, on June 1 for 6,000 men. The company is said to be the largest manufacturer of barbed wire and wire nails in the world, having a daily output of 1,000 tons.
