A Penetrating Bullet.
Of greater effect at long range than even the shots from a Lebel or Mansur rifle is the new buUet invented by sn
•nicer named Hebler of the Swiss Army. It is shaped somewhat after the fashion of a goose quill, and with a charge only slightly over 2% grammes (39 grains) of powder will travel 1,400 yards and penetrate a block of wood to the depth of nine feet At a longer range the penetrating power is still great as the shot will enter a block of wood at a distance of 6,000 yards or nearly three and a half miles.
