Didn't Mind Converts.
There is one delightful anecdote touching tho King of Ava’s reply to the request of an American missionary for leave to try to make converts among tho King's subjects. Tho King told Dr. Price that ho granted his request, and that he might preach his religion, but whenever his subjects were converted by it he should cut oft their heads and send them at once into the paradise of which tho Doctor had told them. —The Athen oum.
