Marsh, of Kansas City, shot his wife and daughter, but their lives were saved by their corsets. H. F. Heffner, formerly of the Chicago Board of Trade, committed suicide at New Orleans by taking laudanum. Isaac Goodman, an Elwood, Ind., farmer, yas sentenced to four years in the penitentiary for operating a fence. While thirty-seven arrested commonwealers were being taken to court at Helena, Mont., sixteen made a dash and escaped.
