Land sharks at Duluth, Minn,, are alarmed at the investigation under way by Special Inspector Swineford. •Mr. Mathews’, of Still water, Minn., knocked down Attorney Fayette Marsh, who tried to secure Rome papers. After Feb. 4 the Union Pacific will abandon trains via the Gulf route, and will reach Denver via Cheyenne. James Egan, a laborer, was killed at a grade crossing at Massillon, Ohio. He leaves a wife and six children. Edward Blake, Canadian member of the Imperial Parliament, addressed ! a large meeting at Boston on home rule.
