A Shower of Ants.

A curious phenomenon has just occurred at the village of Gamlingay, in Cambridgeshire. A dense cloud was observed to be passing over, which suddenly burst, and, to the astonishment of the villagers, it was seen to lie a shower of ants and similar winged insects. People and the ground became smothered with them, and they swarmed ir > millions. Every step takep crushed hundreds of them.— [London Standard.
