EDUCATIONAL NOTES.

In the last ten years, or a gain of about B per oent. more than the increase of population. The bequest of $200,000 from the late Daniel B. Fayorweather to the Cooper Union Art School for Women has enabled that institution to double the number of pupils it can receive, making an increase from 350 to 700. The top Boors of the institute are being enlarged to accommodate new students. The library of the institute is less fortunate, and the trustees have made an appeal to the publlo for assistance.
