Fate of Incendiaries in Japan.
The incendiary’s lot in Japan is not a happy one. When caught he is at once handed over to the excutioneer. By this official the culprit is buried in the ground up to the neck. A cross-cut saw laid on the ground close by ready for use, and then the executioner goes away for a few days on other duties. During the interval any passer-by is at liberty to assist the excutioner in his duties by taking a few cuts with the saw across the prisoner’s neck, When the exeoutioner returns, if there is any necessity for it, he leisurely completes the task by sawing the man’s neck from his shoulders.
