Under the old tax law the railroads of 1 Indiana were assessed at $69,602,676. Under the new tax law the same railroads pay taxes on $160,809,575. The Democrats have given ns the Australian ballot system, the new school book law, the soldiers’ and sailors’ monument, and all the new asylums for the insane of the state.
