SUPREME COURT REPORTER.
Sidney R. Moon, candidate for supreme court reporter, was born in Butler county, 0., forty nine years ago. When live years old his parents moved to Fulton county, Ind., where he has ever since resided. He was brought up on a farm, but owing to an accident at the age of twenty, which permantly disabled his right hand, be prepared himself for school work and engaged in teaching for many years, the last eight of whi .he taught in the Rochester city schools. While yet in school work, in 1872, Mr. Moon accepted the Democratic nomination for sheriff and was elected. Two years later he was re-elected. He was a member of the house of representatives in 1889 and 1890. In the session ' of 188.) he wuf a member of the special Committee which drafted and reported to the house the present school book law. Mr. Moon is married and has a family of four children. He resides in Rochester. He was nominated by acclamation.
