WORLD’S FAIR NOTES. Persia has accepted an invitation to the World’s fair, and named Speucer Pratt as honorary commissioner. Editor A. K. McClure, of the Philadelphia Times, has declined the appointment of commissioner for the Chicago fair. The Paris chamber of commerce strongly recommends manufacturers to exhibit at the Chicago fair, and asks the government to obtain additional facilities from Amer ica for exhibitors. Chili, although kept pretty busy with a formidable iusurrection within its territory, has taken time to decide to participate in the World’s fair, and to appropriate SIOO,OOO for that purpose. The exposition grounds are inclosed by a high board fence, and during the progress of the erection of the buildings no one'will be allowed inside the inclosure who does not present a pass countersigned by Presi dent Baker of the exposition directory. M. Proust, whom the French World’s Fair commission selected to be director of the French art exhibit at the World’s Columbian exposition, held a similar posi at the late Paris exposition and is unques tionably eminently fitted for the place. Captain Gilbert P. Cotton, special com mifcsiuner of the World’s Columbian ex hi bi Lion to Central America, reported that the government of British Honduras has accepted the invitation to participate in the World’s Columbian exposition, and has appointed commissioners to look after au exhibit. FIN, FEATHER AND FUR. A fish with two tails is the leading curiosity at Madison, Ga. SNAP SHOTS. The Boston Camera club gave an exhibition of prints recently, and then offered them for sale. The scheme met with financial success. Scarf cameras, set in gentlemen’s scarfs, are becoming quite popular. It is wonderful that so good pictures are taken with the little articles. The "Kamaret” is the title to a new camera that has been placed upon the market recently. It is a neat little box, which weighs only four pounds when loaded for 100 exposures. It is not an easy task to secure good portraits, aud practice is needful iu order to gain fine results. Those of the amateurs who have made a study of this line of work, however, have become fascinated with it.
