IN MEMORIUM.

Rensselaer, Ind., Feb. 5,1892To the Noble Grand, Vice Grind, officers and members of Rensselaer Rebekah Degree. Lodge No. 346, I. O. O. F. Your committee appointed to draft resolutions in regard to the derth of Sister Mary C. Steward, respectfully submit the following: Whereas, Death lias for the first time entered our Lodge, aud with ruthless hiud removed from our midst our dear sister, Therefore, be it Resolved, That we bow in humbit submission to the will of God, who doetli all tlrngs well, that in her death the Lodge has lost a faithful and d< voted member, si cielv has lost a happy, cheerful face, and her pareuts an idolized and loving daughter. Resolved, That while we mou u our loss,Jwe sincer-ly condole with and ext nd to the’ bereaved parents o ir warmest sympathy in this dispensation with which it has pleased Divine Providence to a - diet them, and we commend them tor consolation to Him who orders all things for He best, and who doeth not willingly afilict the children of men. Resolved, That in this breaking of the ties that bind us we, as a Lodge, should heed the dispensation of D vine Providence and strive more earnestly to simpTfy the principles of our beloved Order in all our intercourse with each -tlier. and cause the afflicted ones to realize that iu pur Lodge they have fr.ends indeed, whose motto is “Friendship, Love and Truth.” Resolved, That this heartfelt testimonial of our sympathy be publ’shed in each of our county papers, th it a copy be sent to the parents of the dc ceased, and that it be spread i fa 1 u..on the minutes of the Lodge, and that the charter be draped in mourning for he period of thirty days.
