What the Monon Will Do.
The Monon road lias done a 000,000 business this year, and the company is making arrangements to largely increase its facilities for the purpose of competing with other lines during the world’s fair. Speaking to an Indianapolis News reporter, Gen. Manager McDoel gave the following synopsis of the improvements contemplated: “Well, we want to enlarge our terminals as much as possible, and lengthen out our passing tracks so that there can be no excuse for trains being late. With the passing track lengthened the trains must be on time or we will put crews on who will make time. The Michigan City and Orleans divisions are now in iron. We want to put them in steel, and put heavier steel rails between Indianapolis and Monon. We want to gravel the entire road; every division and branch. We expect to buy 250,000 cross ties, and spend $75,000 on iron bridges. What money is left will be putin equipments. We expect to buy twenty new coaches, live hundred new box cars, beside the 250 thirty-ton flat cars we have already contracted for.” Olio touoh of Nature mikes the whole woild kin.” Diseases common to the race compel the search for a common remedy. It is fot&d in Ayer’s 8; rsapurilla, the repulation of which is worldwide, having largely superseded every other blood medicine in use.
