The W. C. T. U. Convention and School of Methods.
A Convention and Sohool of Methods for the W. C. T. Unions of Jasper, Newton, White and Pulaski coun ies, will be held in the M. E. Church, at Rensselaer, May 21st and 22d, 1891, beginning on the 21st at 10 a. m. The object iB the quickening of the temperance sentiment and its eryatalization into organised effort in the several counties, and the training of members in the best methods es W. C. T. U. work. Mrs. Mary E. Haggart, State President, Miss Mary G. Hay, State Treasurer, and Miss Alice R. Palmer, State Organizer and Lecturer will be present to conduct the exercises and give instruction on the topios to be presented, in which they will be ably assisted by county workers. The day meeting will be devoted mainly to the School of Methods work. Miss Palmer will lecture on the first evening. Mrs. Haggart, President of the W. C. T. U. on the last. All the meetings will be of great interest and the public generally is invited to attend day as well as evening meetings. All W. C. T. Unions are expected to be well represented by their members, who will be entertained by the hospitable citizens of Rensselaer.
