The New York Times calls attention to the fact that the copper mining companies have resumed their old practice of selling copper in Europe at prices lower than those which consumers in this country are required to pay. The Times says: Large quantities of Lake Superior copper have recently been sold abroad at 12J or 13 cents a pound, but the price of the same brands in this country is about 1 cent higher. These protected Lake Superior oopper millionaires are only doing what most protected manufacturers do—selling their surplusjproduct abroad for less than they sell it for to home consumers. This is one of the blessings (?) of protection to the home consumers!
