Marshall does not join witn us in denouncing the “shabby trick"; he does not deny that he perpetrated it; but goes oil'into a lying, senseless cackle about jealousy, backbitiag, and misrepresentation of a more sucoessiul competitor, etc. Our neighbor, however, should remember that his success is not to be attributed to any virtue or ability he posse-ses, and that therefore we have no occasion for envy.
