GEMS OF THOUGHT.

[From the Ram's Horn.] When the heart is full the soul speaks. No man can die wrong who lives right. The man who fears God is afraid to sin. A good man is one of God’s thoughts in motion. The Christian who doesn’t do much doesn’t love much. We are never so strong as when we are thankful. A merciless man can not worship a merciful God. The man in the wrong is the one who won’t forgive. Not to be for God always is not to be for God at all. When the heart speaks the whole man says “Amen.” God can use a weak man, but He won’t use a lazy one. If we didn’t have any trials we couldn’t have any faith. Every sin that is not forsaken brings with it another. God never intended that any man should be a loafer. The man who overcomes himself disappoints the devil. Belief is the rudder by which the ship of our life is directed. Repentance never comes too late, if it comes from the heart. A stingy man would have to stand on his head to see heaven. When God is truly worshiped the soul is purified by the proces. Men need moral courage more than they do higher foreheads. No man who gives as much as he ought to do ever growls about it. The sin you look at will soon make you pick it up and carry it. When God speaks through a man all nations can understand Trim. There is no worship in anything you do simply from a sense of duty. Every time we try to deceive God our chances for being lost increase. The worship that does not come from the heart never finds its way to heaven. Ten thousand suns can not make anything plain to the man who has -no eyes. There are too many people who are afraid the Lord will get in debt to them. Heaven’s pictures differ from those of earth in being all light and no shadow. The only snvi?e acceptable to God is that which springs from a loving heart. The hardest thing to do is the one that God does not want you to do. It is a flattery with us that those we love w ill love that which is precious to us. Every time you do anything God wants you to do, the devil’s hold on you weakens.
