P-oduced from the laxative and nutritious juice of California figs, combined with the medicinal virtues of plants known to be most beneficial to the human system, acts gently on the kidneys, fiver and bowels, effectually cleansing the system, dispelling colds and hcaduches, and curing habitual Constipation. A precious unknown Caxton has been added to the British Museum collection. The lit tie book dates from 1483, and numbers only twenty-four pages; but it is probably the first publication of diplomatic correspondence iu a separate form. It contains “six most elegant Jotters” which passed between Pope Sixtus IV. i nd th* cardinals aud the doge of Venice when the Pope commanded the Venetians to cease tanking war upon Ferrara, and exoommunicated them upon the r refusal. The book was found some years ago in a library at Ha'berstadt, in Saxony, bnt has only just been secured for England.
