Judge Hindman Charges a Grand Jury to Indict All Healers. Nevada, lowa, dispatch: At the opening of court Judge Hindman, in his charge to the grand jury, gave the orginal package business a black eye in this section. He charged them that notwithstanding the late decision of the United* States Supreme court no person has a right in this State to keep a place; for the sale of intoxicating liquors of any kind, either in original packages or otherwise, and said it , was, the sworn duty of the jurors to report to the court by indictment any person engaged in the keeping of such a place, without regard to where such liquors came froim He takes the ground that the State has the inherent right to prohibit and abate nuisances and punish persons engaged in maintaining a nuisance within its borders and that the question of inter-State commerce has nothing to do with it. That the keeping of a place for the sale of liquors as a beverage is a nuisance, whether dealt out in original package or some other way. and that the late decision is not in conflict with this view.
