Rensselaer church is represented by Mr. Hoi lister, James W. Douthit, Esq., now occupis the room back of the Rensselaer Bank, Nowels building, with his law office. The successful candidates were handsomely serenaded by the cor net band Monday evening. Rev. Father Dick performed the marriage ceremony for Warren Robinson and Ella Ryan, at the residence of T. J. MeCoy, Tuesday morning last. They took the 11:40 am train far Chicago.

Death of Dr. Ritchey Dr. Samuel Ritchey, extensively known throughout the county and state, died at the residence of his som-in-law, James Welsh, in this township, on Monday morning last, at the ripe old age of 80 yrs. and 11 months. He was confined to his bed but for a few days. Rev. T. F. Drake conducted tuneral services at the Welsh residence on Tuesday. Interment in the Welsh cemetery. Mrs. Lucinda, wife of L. W. Henkle, died at her home in Newton township, last Monday morning, agsd 58 years, 3 months and 5 days. D. S. Willey is closing out his store in Monon with the view of engaging in the mercantile business with his father and brother at this place. On Modday last a young fellow by the name es Francis M. Canfield was arrested at this place by sheriff Blue and constable Wood, j on charge of stealing sundry articles from the resi .enee of John T. Culp, in Barkley township.
