Benjamin Franklin. Died. —At her home at Pleasant Ridge, November 14, 1889. Mrs. Mary Ann Moore, beloved wiie of Samuel Moore, ased 55 years, 3 m mtns and 27 days. Deceased was born in Marion ! county, Ohio, July 17, 1b34, and I was married to Samuel Moore in March, 1854, in this county. She leaves to mourn her sudden departure a husband, two daughters and three sons, all of whom have the sympathy of their many friends in this community. The remains were interred in the Crockett cemetery on ti e 16th inst., followed by a large circle of relatives and friends. Th*' funeral services wer. conducted by Rev. G. W . Payne. G. W. P.

Dr Talmage an Editor Beginning with J unuary 1, next, the Rev T. DeWitt Talmage, D. D., will become one of the editor of The Ladies’ Home Journal, of Philadelphia. The famous preacher will have a regular de - partment each month, written by himself, with the title “Under My Study Lamp.” His first contribution will appear in the January number of the Journal. Dr. Tai* mage’s salary is said to be one of the largest ever paid for editorial work. J. W. Duvall started on Wednesday of last w ek to visit his son-in-law, Eugene Young, who is veiy ill at Grand Rapids, Mich., but only succeeded in reaching Valparaiso, when he was taken sick, and returned home Friday. Dr, Kelley, the dentist, has returned to Rensselaer anl opened an office *u “Liberal Corner,” upstairs over T. P. Wright’s undertaking shop, where he will be glad to see all those wishing dental he will make it an object fox all wishing his services.
