Charley Wren and wife expect soon to make a tour through the west, visiting friends and making observations of the country. W. R. Nowels, at the elevator, keeps repairs for the Peerless reaper and mower. Geo. K. Hollingsworth expects soon to take charge of a Dwiggins Syndicate Bank at Churubusco, Whitley County, Indiana. Geo. W. Casey, Fair Oaks, is agent for the Peerl ss Machine Co. John Macy, of Indianspolis, is visiting his mother, Mrs John Makeever, and other friends in Renssel&er. Some outbuildings near the residence of Frank C. Moore, in Barkley township, were destroyed by fire the other day. The assistance of neighbors saved the resi deuce and furniture. Supposed to have originated from a defective flue.
