Lord Lonsdale has reached New York. He has with him 300 specimens of birds. Walter Keller, 9 years old, fell into a vat of vinegar at Dayton, Ohio, and was drowned. Prof. E. H. Platt and -John Allen, two New-Yorkers, have started on 9 horseback ride from Ne\y York to San Francisco.
