E v '~ "We, the undersigned, committee appointed to draft resolution cf condolence ou the death of sister Julia May Miller Thomas, who departed this life at her home in Witoka, Minnesota, July 291', 1888, would respectfully submit the following: Hall of Evening Star Chapter, No. 41,0. Whereas, our beloved sister, Julia May Miller Thomas has passed from our chapter to join that innumerable and happy throne: gathered around the pure white throne of Him who rules in love, it is meet and proper that we who are left should express our regard a"d affection for her many virtues.
Sister Til* mas was an exemplary Christian, a faithful and dutiful wife, an earnest and consistent worker in the Chapter room. Resolved, that in the death of Sister Thomas the community in which she lived has lost a worthy and esteemed member; the Ohaotter one who was ever faithful to the demands of honor and justice. Resolved, that wo extend to brother Amanzo Thomas, the husband of mu* deceased sister, our warmest sympathies and deep sorrows hi his srd affliction; to the relatives and immediate friends of the deceased our regrets that her life could not bo longer spared to them that they might enjoy her many -00‘c 1 qualities and worthy example, to cheer and guard them in the journey of life.
