Motion Ruled Out.
“Well,” said the court reporter to bis new assistant, “anything going on in court to-day ?” “Nothing much,” said the new assistant. “Business must be dull ?” “Very dull.” “But w'ere no motions made?” “One.” “Well, did the Judge entertain it?” “No; ruled it out.” “Ruled out a motion! What was it?” “One lawyer made a motion to throw an ink bottle at the head of another lawyer. Judge said it should not come before him, but said he would appoint two masters and a referee, and let the case be decided at the fair grounds. Case was taken under advisement by friends.” —New Orleans Picayune.
