It is said that dull times are not Inown by the agents for the great publishing house of George Stinson & Co., of Portland, Maine. — The reason of this exceptional success is found in the fact that they always girt the public that which is keenly appreciated and at prices that all can afford. But Green’s August Flower has done a wonderful work in reforming this sad business and making the Imericaa people so healthy that they can enjoy their meals and be happy RememberNo happiness without health. In t Nutshell- -The new tariff bill needs only to be plaimy understood to meet with universal acceptance by those whom revenue measures should affect —namely, the poor. It is the citizen whose one hard-earned dollar means fire, light, tread, that legislation must primarily protect The man with a million dollars can protect himself. First, we need in order that ”ages should be higher and goods cheaj er, cheaper wool, chemicals, fibres like jute, hemp, flax and lumber. We want cheap food and clothing, homes at f tir rent and especially cheapness in iron, clay and glass. The proposed tariff bill contemI lates this; not as thor mgh.y as could wish, but still with measurable improvement upon any tarifl bill we have known. Moreover, in abolishing war taxation we lose the war.—New York Herald.

When Spring Comes This is the way a horse and a poor blanket look at the cad of winter. Why is it that of two horse blankets which look and feel equally well one won’t wear at all, and the other wears well ? This 6 /± Trade y pas Horse Blankets which are strong and have a reputation are always imitated in poor qualities which look like them, but having fewer warp threads are not as strong. Some dealers buy these poor imitations for a few cents less and by saying they are “just as good,” sell them at the same price as the strong blankets to parties who do not know the difference. You cannot tell whether horse blankets are strong by the look or feel, as the warp threads do not show on the face. How then are you to know? Inorderthat you cantellastrong blanket from a weak one, the manufacturer of 5.4 Horse Blankets sews the above 5/ k Trade Mark inside of each blanket. This is a guarantee that it is the strongest blanket made for the money and will wear well. Many poor imitations have been sold as 5£ blankets. Remember none are genuine unless the $£ Trade Mark is sewed inside.
