Brain Labor Vs. Pauper Labor.
High-priced labor is not pauper labor. It is brain labor. We have the smartest people in the world. We tarn out more manufactures to a man than any other country. Our products are about twice those ol Great Britain. Don’t be alarmed, my friends, that your manufactured goods are to be placed on the free list. They never will be. We are going to have revenues from customs, not from raw materials, but we will rely upon our finished products. The party to which I belong, the party to which the illustrious President belongs, said at Chicago that we would give to the American workman the ri.'ht to use the foreign materials and proteot his waces, and now we don’t intend that foreign workmen shall wreck his prospects.- Roger O. Mills. *
