TRIBUTE OF RESPECT.

Hall of Prairie Lodge. No. ) 126, F. &A. M. Rensse- [- laer, Ind., Feb. 20, 1888. ) To the worshipful Master Wardens and brethren of Prairie Lodge, No. 125, F. & A. M., Rensselaer, Indiana: Your committee appointed to pep&re resolutions of condolence on the death of Bro. Henry A. Barkley, who died at his residence in Barkley township, Jasper county, Indiana, Saturday, Jan. 28. 1888, would respectfully submit the following: Whereas, it has pleased the Great Architect of the Universe to remove from our midst our late brother Henry A. Barkley, and, whereas, it is proposed that a fitting recognition of his many virtues be had Therefore, be it resolved by Prairi e Ledge No, 125 of F. & A. M, of the State of Indiana, that while we bow in humble submission to the will of the Most High, we do not the less mourn for our brother who has been taken from us.

Resolved that, in the death of Henry A. Barkley, this Lodge laments the loss of a brother who was ever ready to proffer the hand of aid and the voice of sympathy to the needy and distressed An active member of society, whose utmost endeavors were exerted for the general welfare and prosperity. A friend and companion, who was dear to us all. A citizen whose upright and noble life was a standard of emulation to young and old alike. Resolved, that these resolutions be spread upon the records of the Lodge, and a copy thereof be transmitted to family of our deceased brother and to each of the newspapers of Jasper county. E. P.
