A New Use for Flint.
An Eastern man has discovered a process by the addition of other cheap ingredients of melting ordinary flint stone at a low temperature. This discovery has been covered by patents, and is in the hands of an Eastern syndicate. The process produces a beautiful marble-l ke composition, and will be used for making encaustic tiling, lajindry, and bath tubs, and in the production of works of art. Its wonder> ful cheapness will enable its introduction below the cost of anything of the kind in the market, It has been found to be superior to either glass or rubber as an electrical non-conductor, and its use in this direction bids fair to be large.
