Wonderful! —Wonderful what good woik the Mitchell Washer can do. 1 »■<•»•* ■ " - John Hurley, of Blackford, and Henry Watson, of Pleasant liidge, have been granted pensions. —— i Don’t fail to see Robin Hood and his band, arrayed in costume, at the Scott Festival! Don’t fail! on the penalty of being marked down April Fool! Try the Mitchell Washer. Two weeks trial gi'en. Will Wood sold four Davis’ 1886 quilting frames in one day’s c n vassing. The S-ott EnFc ___ . tertainment will include a big Supper, and I thought I’d enjoy a le’sure smoke, and catch a whale for the occasion. Call at Wright’s Furniture Store and see the Mitchell Washer. It’s a daisy! What True Merit will Do. The unprecedented sale of Boschee’s German Syrup within a few years has astonished the world. It is without doubt the safest and best remedy ever discovered for speedy and effectual cure of Colds, Coughs and the severest Lung troubles. It acts on an entirely different principle from the usual prescriptions given by Phys-cians, as it does not dry up a Cough, and leave the disease still in the system, but on the contrary removes the cause of the trouble, heals the parts affe«tecl andieaves them in a purely healthy condition. A fottle kept m th* house for use when the diseases make their appearance, will save doctor’s bills and a long spell of serious illness. A trial will convince you of these facts. It is positively sold by all druglsts and general dealers p ihe 1 ’■»<!• Pri 'e, ends ’ 9.y> - 'v* n r .<y * P r 9

Rumored Land Hale a Myth. Land Commissioner Sparks says the story of recent sales of 60,000,000 acres of the public lands is a myth. In a recent letter he replies to an inquiry as follows: I am in receipt of your letter of the 3d instant, inquiring how a New York syndicate can get possession of 60,(XX),000 acres of public land. I infer that your inquiry relates to a newspaper paragraph recenPy published stating that a syndicate had purchased an alleged private land claim, embracing an enormous quantity of land including portions of Texas, Kansas, the Indian .territory, New Mex co and Colorado. I have t advise you that no possession has been acquired by any person or persons of 60,000,000 or any other numbers of acres of land under this alleged claim, and that the records of this office disclose no foundation for a legitimate claim of this charact r. No person has any right to attempt to control or dispose of public lands of the United States upon the pretext of such claim. Persons who purchase “quit-claim deeds” from elfins of alleged land grants do so at their own risk. Don fail to attend J r . the Scott Carnival!
