The members of the Rensselaer Cornet Band return thanks to citizens who aided m making their Ball a success, and especially do they thank Miss Maggie Healy, Miss Ola Sigler, Miss Lucy Healey, George Hollister and J. A. Anderson, for their untiring energy.
Capt. H. Snyder and Mr. Stamp, of Monticello, have taken charge of the flouring mill near the depot. They have on hand a large supply of first-class buckwheat flour, corn meol, chop feed, bran. The celebrated Monticello flour kept on hand and will be exchanged for grain. Messrs. Stiy'der & Stamp are wide-awake, enterprising and honorable gentlemen, and will ere long establish a reputation for this mill second to none in the State. Ulysses S., son of Frank Grant, had a leg broken Sunday last by his horse falling with him. Dr. Loughridge set the broken limb. Mr. Elsner claims that his new store is a counterpart of the Chicago Fair, and invite s the people to call and ascertain that fact. Percy S. Taylor is making arrangements for the establishment of a Hay and Feed Store in Chicago.
