“That was an excellent sermon I heard you preach,,on Sunday,” saida gentleman to a clergyman, as they shook hands. “Thank you”, replied the preacher. “To which one do you refer?” “The one about laying up treasures in heaven.” “Oh, yes.” “But do you think,” said the gentleman, “that the congregation will take the advice you gave them?” “I fear,” returned the pastor, that as a whole they will not. But you must not think they do not believe in laying up treasures in heaven. They known it is the right thing to do. ” “What evidence have you of it?” “Very conclusive evidence.
