Professor Sanborn.
Professor Sanborn, of the Missouri State Agricultural College, has brought up many a worn-out farm and made it pay handsomely. He has done that with the college land in Missouri, restoring it from a rugged, worn-out farm up to a high state of cultivation and profit, equal to a net income of SI,OOO per year, while under the old management, which was similar to that of most other farms in the vicinity, it brought no income. The method now pursued is to feed out all the fodder grown, according to a system of ration designed to secure the greatest economy, and to return all the manure made to the soil. The farm keeps double the stock it could keep four years ago, and the grain crops are already twice as heavy as the average in the vicinity, and better are expected.
