The Democratic Senatorial Convention met at Goodland last Wednesday, and after organization with Dr. M. L. Humstonfof Newton, in the c hair, and Jqo. M. Pendergrass Secretary, Messrs. Vanderwater, of Newton, Castello, of Jasper, and Phares, of Benton, committee on credentials, reported: Gentlemen: Your committee on credentials beg leave to report that the delegates present have their proper credentials, and that we recommend the vote of each county be cast as a unit, andtli&i t iec ; .ia - man of each delegation cad the vote of his county. Adopted. Messrs. M. G. Traugli, of Rasper, Perry, of Newton, an 1 S - nlln, of Benton, committee on res- ! elutions, reported as follows: Whereas: The Senatorial field! being fully occupied, it is the sense of this Convention that a nomination is inexpedient. Therefore be it Resolved, That this convention recommend to the voters of this J Senatorial District to cast their votes for the candidate whom they individually believe will best subserve the interests of the people. Unanimously adopted. The matter of candidates for Representative and P vu o: was committed to the chairmen ui‘ the county committees. Adjourned.
