A letter from ‘Rob’ Waterbury, Dighton, Kansas, a former Rensselaer boy, says his father is now engaged m farming, and he is giving instruction, in music on the piano and organ. Soldiers and Soldier’s Widows and Orphans. The enrollments made by the various township assessors in Jasper county this year, shows the number of soldiers, soldier’s widows and soldier’s orphans given in the subjoined table. It should be stated, by way of explanation, that in many cases the assessors have failed to enroll the soldier’s orphans; and it is almost certain that many of them failed to find all tho soldiers and soldier’s widows in their townships.
