Flames swept away the Court House and seventeen other buildings at Litchfield, Conn, the losses being SIOO,OOO. The boxfac'.ory of Firstbrook Brothers, at Toronto, worth SIOO,OOO, was also burned. The car stables and depot of the Forty-second and Grand Street Ferry Railroad Company, New York, were destroyed by fire; loss, SIIO,OOO.
