THROUGH A BRIDGE.
Six Persons Killed and Many Injured by a Railway Aecident in South Carolina. A north-bound passenger train on the Northeastern Railroad plunged through the Santee River trestle, midway between St. Stephen’s Station and Santee River bridge, smashing up the coaches and killing six passengers. The killed are: John L. Cole, Dr. G. C. Kinloc-h, William Inglesby, Miss Mclver, of Charleston; Miss C. E. McWhite, of Marion; Miss Hannah Wilson, residence unknown. . Conductor B. G, Mazyck and Mail Agent F. W. Renneker were badly injured. The cause of the accident is not yet known, but it is supposed to have resulted from the insecure fastenings ol a rail on a changing qjauge.
