Mrs. Rebecca Baker and daughter, of Onarga,. 111., formerly of this county, are visiting friends in this locality. Fendig has just received a superb lot of Boots and Shoes which he offers at prices to suit the times. The wife and two children of Paymaster Schenck, U. S. navy, are visiting the Misses Elizabeth and Julia Smith, at this place, aunts of Mr. Schenck. Eld. W. H. Hennegar, of Francesville, will conduct religious services at the new church near H. A. Barkley’s, in Barkley township, Sunday, June 6th, morning and afternoon. All are invited to bring their baskets and attend both services. William Harris and Mary Jane Marlatt were married at the residence of James Donnelly, near Rensselaer, Ihursday, May 20tn, 1886. Rev. P. Hmds officiated.
