Unnecessary Violence,
For which outraged nature exacts heavy penalties, is done to the bowels by persons who with drastic, drenching purgatives make war on those organs in order to relieve their constriction. Constipation is not one of those desperate diseases that require desperate remedies. In fact, it is not a disease at all, but the incomplete discharge of a function, to the healthful renewal of which Hostetter’s Stomach Bitters is far better adapted than drugs, whose action is excessive, and consequently debilitating and injurious. Disorder of the liver, contamination of the blood with bile, sick headaches and dyspeptic symptoms are the attendants of costiveriess, and are likewise remedied by the Bitters. Its action js notdimited to relieving the bowels naturally and without pain. Used with persist-! ence, aha as directed, it perpetuates regularity in tiie habit of body, and in the operations of the digestive organs and liver. Fever and ague, rheumatism and kidney troubles are prevented and cured by it.
