A State street merchant put a handsome plaster figure in his store window and prepared himself to enjoy it with his customers. Along in the afternoon ihe wife of an artist came in, and she noticed it at once. “Ah, Mr. B she said, “that’s a handsome figure in your window." “Yes,” replied the merchant, “I call it so myself, I do. ” “Your taste is excellent.” pursued the lady, “and I'm glad to see a love of art developing in commercial circles.
