To Celebrate Washington’s Birthday.

The ladies of the M. E. church have decided to celebrate Washington’s birthday, by giving an entertainment and fair at the Opera House. The exercises wil consist of a musical and literary program, and supper. A number of useful and fancy articles will be on exhibition, and will be sold cheap. A special feature of the entertainment will be an art gallery in charge of Miss Hill, Mrs. H. J. Dexter, and T. J. Farden. An admittance of 10 cents will be charged at the door. Supper served for 15 cents. The following is the program cf exercises: Anthem. Recitation, Miss M. Hill. Instrumental Music, Mrs. S. P. Thompson. Duet, Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Watson. Recitation, “Gone with a Handsomer Man.” Solo, E. P. Honan. Recitation, “Poe’s Bells,” Miss Lydia Paris. Ladies’ Quartette, “Corn Bread,” Lola Moss, Mrs. F. J. Warren Lottie Hester and Melle Medicus.
