Call for Democratic Convention

Gov. Gray refv.s s a respite in the Wartner case. i Hon. JolinG. Thompson, a distinguished Olii) Democrat', died last Wednesday. Continued illness in our family, and of ourself, has prevented the attention to the paper we desire to give it. We hope to be all right soon.

With what a gracious, patronizing air “Your Brother” approaches his “wheelers” and gives his “taffy’’ with unstinted hand.

Geii. Hancock, the hero of Gettysburg, died at his resid nee on Governor’s Island, N. Y., on Tuesday last. His death has cast a gloom over the whole country.

The affectionate, brotherly manner in which “Your Brother” circulated among the “wheelers,” porting and directing them as to what he desired them to do made him the observed of all observers.
