Two cases vs James Givens, SIOO bond in each case forfeited. Divorce was granted Eliza Clieever from her husband, William. The Kopcslko case, from Lake county, commenced Wednesday, and is prog;. The Wailner case is set for Tuesday, Nov. 3d. Ex-Sheriff John W. Powell has leased the HalLoran Livery and Feed Stables, and respectfully solicits a liberal share of the public patronage.

Wade and f tmily, of Lafayette, spent the Sabbath with relatives and friends in Rensselaer. Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Starr, and little dauglitei; Dr. and Mrs. Alter and daughters Ollie aud True, of Rensselaer, and Mr. and Mrs. John L. Nbhols, of Barkley township, started Tuesday last to visit friends in Kansas. Miss Yantis has resigned as teacher of the Second Primary department, Rensselaer, and Mrs. Madge Warren appointed to the vacancy.
This fall Geo. Adair, of Barkley township, made and has on hand about 400 gallons sorghum. Those desirous of proucuring a supply can address him at Blackford P. O, this county. Dan. Fraiser, Esq., of Fowler* and court stenographer Park, of Lafayette, are attending court.
