Retributive Justice.

Gainesville (Texas) Hesperian: The comments of the press of New York, Chicago and Cleveland in reference to the general uprising of wage-workers throughout the United States at the present time exhibit a lack of knowledge of the true cause of the troubles which is surprising. Take the situation m the city of Cleveland, 0., as an example of the ignorance of these newspapers. Who ai-e these Poles and Bohemians who have practically taken possession of the city of Cleveland? Trades Unionists? Not at all! They are the people who were imported here by capitalists a few years ago to take the places of Trades Unionists who demanded fair wages and decent treatment. They came here under contract to work in our mines and factories at starvation wages, and with their aid capital squeezed the life out of American workingmen and workingwomen. That they are proving to be a sort of a boomerang to their employers is only in keeping with the law of retribution, and every trades-unionist in the land rejoices thereat.
