On Thursday night of last week, in Monticello, D. D. Dale, Esq., while on his way to his home was attacked by a couple of men in a dastardly and murderous fashion. One eye was destroyed. Suspicioned parties are under bonds* and if proven guilty we trust will r ceive the full penalty of the law in such cases made and providedWe sincerely sympathize with Mr. Dale in this terrible affliction.
