GEORGE KANNAL. George Kannal was born in Columbiana county,Ohio, March 13th, 1813. He was the son of Joseph and Elizabeth Kannal. His father, born August 25th, 1787, was a soldier in the war A 1812 and lived to the advanced age of 90 years. His mother, bom February 3rd, 1792, died in 1800, aged 67 years. He was the oldest of eleven children, seven of whom survive him. His early life was spent on his father’s farm, in his native county. November Bth, 1835, he was married to Mary McCoy, daughter of Alexander and Elizabeth McCoy. He was the father of three children, Malissa Ana, who died May sth, 1844, Elizabeth who died October sth, 1873, and Emmet still living. He was a farmer, and followed that occupation until 1855, when he engaged in business with Thomas McCoy, n New Lisbon Ohio. In 1866 he removed to Jasper county, Indiana, and engaged in business with A. McCoy & Thompson, in Ren -selaer. He was with them until 1875, when he retired tolprivate life, and so remained until his death, June 10th, 1885. Of his character as a husband, a father, and a citizen, nothing need be said, he was well known to the people. His death was very sudden and unexpected. In as good health as usual, performing his ordinary duties, he died almost in tantly, without a warning and without a struggle. His age was 72 years, 2 months and 27 days. * * * #
