No trace of Mrs. Harley, the Delphi lady who mysteriously disappeared from her home sometime ago has yet been disclosed. The Times of last Friday says: “The river has been carefully searched and the search continues but no discovery has been made that throws any light upon the occurrence. When the high water in the Wabash subsides, that stream will be carefully dragged. Mr. Harley informs a Times man that since the disappearance of his wife he has received from ‘detectives,’ town officers, etc., a stack of letters and propositions two feet through, containing all manner of interrogatories, ‘pointers’ to her speedy recovery for which pay was wanted, etc., and that the ‘detectives’ were an absolute nuisance. He believes that Mrs. H. will be recovered and returned to her home and will stop at nothing that will assist in that happy termination of the sad occurrence.”
