London dispatch: The steamer America, of the National Line, has been ordered by the British Government to be gotten in readiness for naval transport service at sea within a fortnight The America is to be armed wi h ten guns. The Atlantic Steamship Company, it is reported, are considering the question of the advisability of raising passenger fares and freight rates. If the contemplated advance be decided upon, the reason given will be the depletion of the Atlantic fleet by the Government’s demands for transports.
