Report oi Prohibition Meeting. Members of the Prohibition Centra* Committee, with other prohibitionists, pursuant to notice, met in the Court House, in Rensselaer, Dec. 20th, 1884. Being sailed to order by the Chairman, Mr. Sampson Erwin. D. T. Halstead was selected Secretary, pro tern. The Central Co umittee was reorganized by the election of the following committeemen, viz: Sylvester Omeara, O. D. Newels A, G. W. Partner. James Yeoman. sr.» Henry Dan tier, G • Melendor, E A Pearson. Da, vid Rat if on ana John R Gray, from their several townships. The committee was empowered to select one .’rum' each of the remaining townships. James Yeoman was elected chairman, and G DNowels, secretary. The advisory committee from the W. C. T. Tom H. Hiner is completing arrangements to make ancthor excursion run to the West next February—the exact da.e will be named later. He will also represent about 200 farms in what he calls ”God’s Country,” cheap and within the reach of almost any one with but limited means; To this datehe has about 25 applicants who wish to see the beautiful lands of Southern Kansas —some to locate, others to visit.
